A Midjourney NSFW alternative: where to make the adult art its SFW rule excludes

No such setting appears anywhere in the documentation we read, and the guidelines go out of their way to close the obvious candidates: a paid plan with Stealth Mode, a private Discord server and a one-to-one chat with the bot all fall under the same SFW rule. We do not test or describe ways around Midjourney's moderation; by its own account, violations can lead to warnings, time-outs or a ban.

Vellria starts from the opposite premise for invented characters. Its plans also offer something Vellria does not sell: unlimited image generation in Relax Mode on Standard, Pro and Mega, and unlimited SD video in Relax on Pro and Mega, according to the plan comparison page. If your work fits inside the SFW rule and you generate in volume, a Midjourney subscription may well cost less per image than paying run by run. People leaving Midjourney usually want painterly control and high-detail finishes. ByteDance's Seedream 5.0 Pro gave our best results once reasoning was switched on, and its habit of drifting a little more artistic than the prompt will feel familiar to Midjourney users. Flux 2 Klein 9B leans toward realism and clean lettering, and Z-Image Spicy Pro is set up for explicit pictures at larger sizes than the base Z-Image Spicy.

Midjourney prompts lean on parameters typed after the text, such as the version flag, aspect ratio and stylize values, and on features like Personalization and moodboards. None of those exist here. Shape is picked from the sizes each model page lists, there is no stylize dial, and a model's character comes from choosing the model rather than from a flag.

What carries over is the description itself. Strip the parameters, keep the subject, setting, light, lens and mood, and say plainly what should be explicit if the scene calls for it. Writing prompts when nothing rewrites them explains why spelling things out works better on models that receive your words unedited.

Midjourney calls itself open by default. Its plan page says Stealth Mode, which keeps images and videos private, is available only on the Pro and Mega plans, so work made on Basic or Standard is visible to the community. Vellria has no community gallery at all: there is no public feed, no profile page and no likes, so a picture you render is not published anywhere by us. That holds on every plan, including no plan at all.

Midjourney's guidelines say that, apart from a few rare exceptions it grants explicitly, it does not provide an API, and that automating interactions with the service is strictly prohibited under its terms. For a developer, that ends the conversation.
