An Unstable Diffusion alternative with a shorter catalog, video and pay-per-run credits

Breadth is the plain answer. Vellria's catalog is far smaller than a library of 120-plus models, and it has no LoRAs at all: you cannot load one, train one or bring a custom checkpoint here. If your pictures depend on a particular SDXL, Pony or Illustrious model, or on a LoRA you have tuned your prompts around, none of that travels with you, and Unstable Diffusion remains the right home for that work.

Its billing can also suit some heavy users better. The Plans & Usage page describes an Unlimited pool for everyday models with no fixed cap, where very heavy use may lower your queue priority from High to Standard or Low. Someone producing a large daily volume of stills on those everyday models may find a subscription like that a better match than paying for each run, which is a fair reason to stay.

Unstable Diffusion's Acceptable Use page, last updated on 11 June 2026, ties adult use to age: you must be 18 or over, or the age of majority where you live, to switch off any content safety filter or to generate or view sexually explicit content. Non-explicit use carries no such requirement. The same page says that, apart from its listed restrictions, every other form of adult content is permissible, material depicting fictional characters included.

Those restrictions cover sexually explicit material showing any real, identifiable person; sexual content with characters who appear to be, or are identified as, 18 or under, fictional ones included; and bestiality.

Inside those lines, explicit work with made-up adult characters is normal use here, for stills and for clips, and Vellria sends your wording to the model untouched rather than softening it on the way. The company behind each model still runs a filter of its own, which the uncensored AI image generator goes into. All of this is a reading of written rules; we did not test how either service enforces them.

In place of breadth, Vellria offers a handful of current families that you pick between for each run. Across our tests, Seedream 5.0 Pro came out as the strongest image model once its reasoning switch was on, though now and then it gets more artistic than the prompt asked for. Seedream 5.0 Lite suited everyday volume and accepts many reference pictures at once, useful when the same character must stay recognisable through a whole set.

Editing lives in the same catalog. Attach a picture you made and describe only what should change; Qwen Image Edit 3.0 was the most faithful editor in our runs and, together with its Pro sibling, the most realistic. Unstable Diffusion presents itself as an image platform, and every fact on this page about it concerns images. On Vellria, the balance that pays for stills pays for clips too. Every video model can build a scene from a prompt or begin from one still you supply, which serves as the first frame, and the prompt then sets out the motion. In our testing, Seedance 2.5 was the most consistent video model and also cost the most per second, Wan 3.0 Pro held up well for most work, and both ranked among the best at adult material.

A common route is to lock a look in with an image model and pass that frame on to a video model, so the character keeps its face once it starts moving. Unstable Diffusion is sold by subscription. Its Plans & Usage page, last updated on 7 June 2026, divides usage into two pools: the Unlimited pool for everyday models, and a Heavy pool for premium, compute-heavy models with a weekly limit and a monthly cap. New users may be offered a free trial for a limited time, and the home page mentions a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Vellria charges per run. You top up with prepaid credits through our payment partner's hosted checkout, and nothing renews unless you pick one of the optional monthly plans, Starter or Pro. A run deducts its credits as it begins, and a job the provider fails is refunded to the balance automatically. Because every model carries its own rate, a quick draft and a polished final render cost different amounts; packages are on the pricing page, and each model page shows its rates.

API calls are paid from that same balance. Every account may generate keys in the console; you pass one in the Authorization header as a Bearer token, receive a job id immediately and keep polling it until the output is done.
