A Leonardo AI NSFW alternative for the explicit images its filter blocks by default

A lot of people arrive here after hunting for a switch that turns the filter off. The guide we read describes no such switch; the one control it mentions goes the other way, inviting developers who want more rigid NSFW handling to contact Leonardo. We did not sign in to inspect the web app's settings, so this page claims nothing about what an account screen shows, and we describe no method for getting around Leonardo's filter.

Whatever a setting might do, the Terms still forbid explicit sexual material. Leonardo is a broad creative suite. Its pricing page lists more than 80 models on paid plans, personal AI models you train yourself, a realtime canvas, team plans with shared tokens, and an API with remove.bg background removal. On the Premium and Ultimate plans, selected image models run without limit at a relaxed pace, and Ultimate adds relaxed video on models that include MiniMax H3, Wan 2.6, Hailuo 2.3 and Motion 2.0.

Vellria trains nothing and hosts no user models, has no team seats and sells no unlimited tier. For safe-for-work design work in volume, or a team that wants shared tokens and its own fine-tunes, Leonardo is the stronger fit, and this page makes no claim that our output looks better than theirs.

On Leonardo the Terms bar explicit sexual material whichever model renders it; here the terms permit it for invented characters, and the clip's cost follows the per-second rate on its model page. Three image models cover most of what a Leonardo user does. Seedream 5.0 Pro produced our best finished stills when reasoning was enabled, Z-Image Spicy is the inexpensive way to try an explicit idea before committing, and Qwen Image 3.0 Pro respected an attached reference most faithfully in our tests. Leonardo's free plan publishes creations publicly, according to its pricing table, with private creations reserved for paid tiers. Vellria has no public gallery on any plan: no feed, no profiles, nothing posted on your behalf.

Leonardo's paid plans let you train personal AI models, which is how many users keep one character steady across a series. Vellria trains nothing, so the same goal is reached with references instead. Attach a picture of your invented character and an editor such as Qwen Image Edit Spicy changes the scene, outfit or pose by instruction and accepts extra reference images alongside the main one; each image model's page lists how many references it takes.

It is not the same as a fine-tune: a trained model remembers a character without being shown it, while a reference has to be attached each time. For a long series, keeping a character consistent explains how to build a small reference set and reuse it.

Leonardo sells API access on its own plans, a pay-as-you-go option whose credit does not expire and a custom tier for higher volume. Vellria folds the API into the ordinary account. A key made in the console authorises your requests, every job you submit returns an id, and your code checks that id until the output is there. Code and browser share one prepaid balance, and a job the provider fails refunds itself.
