A SoulGen alternative: credits that stay yours, and a refund you can ask for

If you are looking for a SoulGen alternative, Vellria is an uncensored image and video generation engine billed in prepaid credits, with no monthly plan behind them and a REST API on every account. It is generation only: no companion chat, no characters to talk to, and no persona to maintain, which is a real part of what SoulGen sells and worth checking before you move.

What this does not replace

Take the mismatch first, since it is cheaper to find now than after a top-up. SoulGen's own navigation lists Soul Chat next to its generation tools, and its pricing page prices text chat, voice calls and creating a soulmate as separate line items. Vellria has none of that. There is no chat, no character to build a relationship with, no voice, and nothing that remembers a conversation between sessions.

Everything this page says about SoulGen was read from SoulGen's own site on 8 September 2026: the pricing page and the Terms of Service dated March 2026. Those are their pages to change, so check the source before relying on any of it.

If the companion side is the reason you are there, this is the wrong tool and no amount of credit arithmetic fixes that. If you are there to generate images and video and the chat is incidental, the rest of this page is about what changes.

The refund clause worth reading before you pay

SoulGen's Terms of Service put their refund position plainly: an image created is described as a personalised product that consumed electricity, GPU and server resources, and the document states that the only way to get refunded is if you never created any image. It adds an instruction to stop before generating if you plan to ask for one.

The clause goes further than declining the request. It states that creating at least one image and then asking for a refund launches a dispute, and that after the dispute you will be blocked definitively from the website, free and premium service alike. Read on 8 September 2026, that is a term of service rather than a support policy.

Vellria's position is different in kind rather than in degree. Credits you have not spent can be refunded on request from the console, assessed individually. Asking does not put the account at risk, and nothing in the terms treats a payment dispute as grounds for a permanent block. Credits taken for a run that fails at the provider come back automatically, without a request at all.

What renews, and what does not

SoulGen's pricing page sells access as plans: a one-month option and a twelve-month option, with the yearly framing carrying a discount and a monthly credit allowance attached to the tier. Credits arrive as an entitlement of the plan you are on.

Vellria has no plan to be on or off. You buy credits, they sit in one balance, and they spend on any model in the catalog whether it makes images or video. An idle month costs nothing because there is nothing to be idle against, and coming back after three months means finding the balance where you left it.

The costing model differs underneath as well. SoulGen's pricing page bills per feature and per model tier, with separate rates for audio on or off and for each resolution. Here what a run costs is a property of the model, stated on that model's own page before you commit and listed for the whole catalog on the pricing page — both read from the source the server bills from, so neither can drift from the other.

Driving it from your own code

SoulGen lists an API in its own site navigation, so wanting one is not by itself a reason to move. What differs is what an account gets by default: on Vellria the console issues a Bearer key on any account, and that key reaches the whole catalog through one shape of request.

Generation is asynchronous. You start a run, take the record id it returns, and poll until it reaches a terminal state, which means a dropped connection or a restarted process loses nothing. Reference images have their own upload endpoint: send the file, keep the address you get back, and name it in the generation body. The API documentation carries the request shapes and status codes.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get a refund if I change my mind?

You can ask, from the console, for credits you have not spent, and each request is assessed on its own. Asking carries no penalty. SoulGen's Terms of Service, read on 8 September 2026, state that a refund is only possible if you never created an image, and that asking after creating one launches a dispute which ends in being blocked definitively.

Is there a subscription?

No. Credits are bought up front with a card or a crypto transfer and spent only when a generation starts, so nothing renews and no month has a floor. SoulGen's pricing page, read on 8 September 2026, sells one-month and twelve-month plans with a credit allowance attached to the tier.

Does it have companion chat like Soul Chat?

No, and nothing here approximates it. Vellria generates images and video and does nothing else: no characters, no voice, no memory between sessions. SoulGen prices those as separate line items on its own pricing page, so if that is the workload you are paying for, keep it and treat this as a different tool.

What happens when a generation fails?

The credits return by themselves. They come off when the run starts, and a provider-side failure puts them back the moment the run is marked failed, with no request to file. Both the failure and the reversal stay visible in your history.
