The refusals that remain are narrow, fixed and absolute rather than tonal: any depiction of a person who is not of age, and any real, recognisable person used without their consent. Neither is a setting, and a request that hits one is refused outright rather than quietly substituted with something else. Fictional adult content is permitted.

A balance instead of a plan

Hailuo's site advertises access from a monthly price and offers free credits to new accounts, read on 8 September 2026. That is a subscription shape: something renews, and the month you do not use it is still a month you bought.

Calling it from code

MiniMax runs a developer platform with its own API, separate from the Hailuo app, so an API is not something you would be moving to gain. Runs are asynchronous. Start one, keep the record id, and poll it until it reaches a terminal state; a restarted process loses nothing because the job lives on the server.
